Clubs and warehouse parties in the late ’90s and early 2000s were Rob’s start in hospitality. Wanting to create his own venue, Rob purchased the run-down venue The Pleasure Unit, which we now call The Star of Bethnal Green. That one pub has now turned into 8 venues… it must have been written in the stars. 

With over 20 years experience in hospitality, Steve has worked in various bars, pubs and became the General Manager for the Breakfast Group. Steve has been instrumental in our growth – starting as the General Manager at Star of Bethnal Green, Steve is now our Operations Director for all 8 venues.

Making sure the i’s are dotted and the t’s crossed both behind the scenes and in front of the bar you’ll most likely see Kate in any one of the venues you visit – but don’t blink because you’ll miss her and in a flash of smoke she’ll be off to the next venue to make sure everything is running smoothly.

Meet Becca, our visionary leader of the Bookings team with 10+ years of hospitality excellence. From East London, Becca’s meticulous expertise has transformed ideas into memories, her collaborative leadership cultivates a harmonious team environment, shaping memorable experiences that surpass expectations in the bustling Old Smoke.

London is Laura’s adopted home – she’s been working here for most of her working life. Running some of the finest cocktail bars in London and Ibiza, Laura has covered all areas of the business and as such loves to bring her hospitality experience to our guests, ensuring they have the best experience. 

Marketing, social media and more. Matt covers it all. Having worked done every job in the pub sector (glass collector to manager of 2 pubs), he moved into hospitality digital marketing. He joined Electric Star in October 2021 and looks after anything and everything related to marketing.

Responsible for the accounting function of all companies and entities within the ‘star system’. Jayson has been with us since 2017 and comes with 30 years of accounting experience, all within the hospitality industry, working with top-end hotels and members clubs around London. 

Joe’s no stranger to London’s bustling event scene. He’s honed his hospitality and event management skills here, igniting his passion for creating unforgettable experiences. From premium venues to lively sports bars, his journey reflects dedication to excellence.

Hailing from the bustling streets of Surrey, Lilli quickly established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the world of hospitality business development. Her journey led her to the vibrant metropolis of London, where she honed her skills amidst the ever-evolving landscape of innovation.
