Clubs and warehouse parties in the late ’90s and early 2000s were Rob’s start in hospitality. Wanting to create his own venue, Rob purchased the run-down venue The Pleasure Unit, which we now call The Star of Bethnal Green. That one pub has now turned into 8 venues… it must have been written in the stars. 

With over 20 years experience in hospitality, Steve has worked in various bars, pubs and became the General Manager for the Breakfast Group. Steve has been instrumental in our growth – starting as the General Manager at Star of Bethnal Green, Steve is now our Operations Director for all 8 venues.

Kate is a firm believer that it’s the people who make the pub (and the drinks that keep them there). From perfecting a new house serve to ensuring our teams have everything they need to shine, she’s the one dotting the i’s and crossing the t’s both behind the scenes and in front of the bar. You’ll likely spot Kate in any one of our venues—in a flash of smoke, she’ll be off to the next site to make sure the vibes are right, the standards are high, and the beer is cold.

Laura has called London home for most of her working life. Having run some of the finest cocktail bars in both London and Ibiza, she has gained experience across all areas of the hospitality industry. Laura now specialises in corporate events and weddings, bringing her wealth of hospitality knowledge to every occasion and ensuring guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience.

Matt’s hospitality experience spans pub operations (from glass collector to manager) to digital marketing. He’s a marketing Swiss Army Knife at Electric Star since October 2021.

Responsible for the accounting function of all companies and entities within the ‘star system’. Jayson has been with us since 2017 and comes with 30 years of accounting experience, all within the hospitality industry, working with top-end hotels and members clubs around London. 

From Surrey to the buzz of London, Lilli has spent over 10 years mastering the world of hospitality and the past three making her mark here. Equal parts organisation and personality, she thrives on bringing people together, keeping the calendar flowing, and making even the busiest days look effortless.

I specialise in delivering standout private and corporate events in fast-paced environments, from winning new business to planning and producing show-stopping moments. Known for innovative thinking, meticulous organisation, and exceptional client care, I’m always focused on making every event memorable.

Henri is our dedicated social media manager. Having previously served as manager at our Star of Bethnal Green site, he now brings his valuable experience to create social media strategies and content across all our locations.
